Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph was the 69-44 winner over Trinity Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Joseph Spartans fell to the Trinity Christian Falcons 57-52. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why St. Joseph lost on Wednesday, don't look at Ben Bartolovic. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points. Those 23 points gave Bartolovic a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Maltese, who earned ten points.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Trinity Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

When St. Joseph and Trinity Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. St. Joseph will try to stop Serra Catholic's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Trinity Christian will take on Hillel Academy and their three-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th.
