Preview: Durant Cougars vs. East Bay Indians
The Durant Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the East Bay Indians at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Durant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
After soaring to 58 points the game before, Durant were a bit more limited in their matchup. Their tough 48-23 loss to Bloomingdale might stick with them for a while. Durant was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.
Elani-hazel Randall put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
East Bay has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against King on Wednesday as East Bay made off with a 50-29 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for East Bay.
Their wins bumped Durant to 1-4 and Bloomingdale to 7-0.
Everything came up roses for Durant against East Bay when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 69-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Durant since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
