Volleyball Recap: Lemont Takes a Loss

Lemont lost against Providence Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lemont HS took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Celtics.

Lemont couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Providence Catholic a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 30-28.

Lemont has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Providence Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lemont will host Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Providence Catholic, they will welcome DePaul College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
