Softball Recap: Jonesboro-Hodge Takes a Loss

Jonesboro-Hodge lost against Union Parish back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers came up short against the Farmers, falling 12-4. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

A Ashcraft was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. B Thompson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Jonesboro-Hodge's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Union Parish, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Jonesboro-Hodge will host Ringgold at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Union Parish, they will head out to challenge Downsville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
