Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against Christian Ministries Academy

Victory Christian kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 58-37 to Christian Ministries Academy. The game was a close 24-22 at the break, but unfortunately for Victory Christian it sure didn't stay that way.

Sawyer Oliver continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Christian Ministries Academy, dropping a double-double with 34 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Oliver a new career-high in steals (seven). Another player making a difference was Nathan Parks, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Christian Ministries Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

Coming up, Victory Christian will square off against Garrett Memorial Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christian Ministries Academy, they will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
