Softball Recap: Paraclete Snaps 19-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Paraclete has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.2 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They took an 18-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Amat Lancers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (11), the Spirits still had to take the loss.

Paraclete's loss ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-2-1. As for Bishop Amat, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Paraclete will challenge St. Anthony at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Amat, they will be taking part in a tournament against South Hills at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
