Baseball Recap: Wyoming Seminary College Prep's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Wyoming Seminary College Prep lost against Wyoming Area back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Knights took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The game marked the Blue Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Teddy Kraus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Colin Donovan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Nockley, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Wyoming Seminary College Prep's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3. As for Wyoming Area, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wyoming Seminary College Prep will face off against Hanover Area at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Knights are facing the Hawkeyes at the right time seeing as the Hawkeyes are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Wyoming Area, they will challenge Lake-Lehman at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
