Central Cabarrus is headed out to face Mount Pleasant after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Vikings took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 55-22 win over Concord. The Vikings not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 20, 2024 (when they won 65-27).

Myajah Nix had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double with 26 points and 14 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahnae Duncan, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Central Cabarrus smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Mount Pleasant's strategy against Concord on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tigers blew the Spiders out of the water with a 58-30 final score. The Tigers pushed the score to 50-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spiders had little chance of recovering from.

Everything came up roses for Central Cabarrus against Mount Pleasant when the teams last played back in January of 2020, as the team secured a 62-14 victory. In that contest, the Vikings amassed a halftime lead of 37-5, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
