Fletcher was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Buchholz apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Emily Clapp was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Morgan Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

On Buchholz's side, the team relied heavily on Madison Blackford, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliana Abraham, who went 2-for-2 with two RBI.
