Recap: Lehighton Indians vs. Panther Valley Panthers
The Lehighton Indians were the 68-53 winner over the Panther Valley Panthers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Lehighton lost to Panther Valley at home by a decisive 59-43 margin on Tuesday.
Conner Penberth went supernova for Panther Valley, scoring 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Penberth has scored all season. Drew Kokinda was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lehighton's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Panther Valley, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lehighton will challenge Stroudsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Panther Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Southern Columbia Area at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southern Columbia Area knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Panther Valley likes a good challenge.
