Softball Recap: Stevenson Starts Season with Victory at Home

Stevenson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-9 win over the Castle Rock Rockets. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 11-2 victory the Rockets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Abi Swanson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Townsend, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Castle Rock is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Stevenson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Castle Rock: the pair will be back at it again later today.
