Softball Recap: Thunder Basin Bolts vs. Campbell County Camels

Thunder Basin dropped their record down to 17-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 23-12 to the Campbell County Camels. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Camels this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-12 defeat back in April.

Madlyn Means was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

As for Campbell County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. Considering they have won 20 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Campbell County's side, Lanae Kimbley was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs Kimbley has posted since back in March. Maty Muffie was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Campbell County beat Thunder Basin by a score of 23-12 later that day.
