Baseball Recap: Pillager Comes Up Short

Menahga hit Pillager with a four-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies came up short against the Braves, falling 13-7. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Nolen Beuning and Elliott Imdieke stepped up to the plate in a big way. Beuning went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Imdieke went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Imdieke has become a key player for Pillager: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Lucas Hoglin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Pillager now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Menahga, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.
