Baseball Recap: Tipton Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Tipton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Sheridan Blackhawks 8-6. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Evan Coe, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jarren Auler, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tipton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Tipton's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Sheridan, they moved to 12-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Tipton has already played their next game, a 13-5 loss against Lapel on the 1st. Sheridan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
