Baseball Recap: Farmington Takes a Loss

Farmington lost against West County back in May of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Knights fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7.

Farmington saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Wampler, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Colby Larkins was another, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Farmington's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for West County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2-1 record this season.

Farmington will square off against Dexter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for West County, they will face off against Fredericktown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
