Softball Recap: Harlan County Comes Up Short

Harlan County fell victim to Middlesboro and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. The defeat continues a trend for the Black Bears in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost three in a row.

Harlan County's record is now 13-13-1. As for Middlesboro, they moved to 9-13 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Harlan County will head out to challenge Barbourville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Middlesboro, they will welcome Lynn Camp at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.96 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
