Basketball Game Preview: Caprock Academy Eagles vs. Lotus School For Excellence Meteors

The Caprock Academy Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Lotus School For Excellence Meteors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Caprock Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 32-26 win over Crested Butte on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Caprock Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashley Wilke out in front who posted ten points in addition to six boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave Wilke a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aila Blaikie, who put up four points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lotus School For Excellence can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They took down Victory Prep Academy 46-28.

Lotus School For Excellence's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Caprock Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.
