Baseball Game Preview: Gateway College Preparatory Gators vs. Jarrell Cougars

Gateway College Preparatory is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Jarrell a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Gateway College Preparatory Gators will be playing at home against the Jarrell Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Gateway College Preparatory has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, Gateway College Preparatory didn't have quite enough to beat Taylor and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Gators have lost by just one run.

Gateway College Preparatory saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Spencer Duncan, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Duncan hit this season. Tai Nguyen was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Jarrell lost 12-3 to Burnet on Friday.

Bryan Tibbetts made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Gateway College Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Jarrell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.
