Football Game Preview: Glenwood Springs Demons vs. Eagle Valley Devils + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Glenwood Springs will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to face off against the Eagle Valley Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Glenwood Springs' offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Conifer on Friday. They were beaten by the Lobos 35-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Demons were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Eagle Valley strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Steamboat Springs 35-14. The Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Glenwood Springs better focus on containing Colter Blakey and Nathan Leeper as the pair were huge in Eagle Valley's win. Blakey threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes, while Leeper gained 184 total yards and two touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Blakey has posted since back in October of 2024. Malachi Barros was in the mix too, providing Eagle Valley with one score.

Eagle Valley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Steamboat Springs to a completion percentage of just 47.8%. The Devils have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.58 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.58 in their last three games.

Glenwood Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Eagle Valley, their record now sits at 7-0.

Glenwood Springs couldn't quite get it done against Eagle Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 28-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Devils' Keaden Lake, who picked up 208 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.
