Soccer Game Preview: Platt vs. Plainville

Platt is 0-10 against Plainville since September of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Blue Devils at 3:45 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

After two halves, Platt and Newington settled for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Plainville waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Blue Dragons get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give Plainville's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Plainville's win bumped their record up to 8-2-2. Platt's draw makes their record 8-2-3 this season.

Platt suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Plainville when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
