Softball Recap: Sanger Indians vs. Memorial Mavericks
Sanger proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Memorial Mavericks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since February 13th.
Vivy Lynch was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Tarryn Liechty was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Lynch wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Sanger lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Sanger's record is now 7-5-4. As for Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Sanger has already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Bonham on the 11th. As for Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Archer City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorial will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
