Volleyball Recap: Rangeview Comes Up Short

Rangeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Regis Groff Fusion, falling 3-0. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Fusion from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23, 25-22.

Makai Yamauchi paced Rangeview's offense, picking up five kills. Yamauchi were helped by Felipe Prieto Suarez and Arrion Alvarado, who contributed seven assists each. Yamauchi was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Regis Groff was led to victory by Ram Thang and Damian Vera. Thang had 16 digs and six assists, while Vera had nine digs and two aces. Those 16 digs gave Thang a new career-high.

Rangeview's record now sits at 8-14. As for Regis Groff, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Rangeview has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against D'Evelyn on the 23rd. As for Regis Groff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Denver East on the 24th.
