Basketball Game Preview: Anderson County Bulldogs vs. Girard Trojans

Anderson County is 1-8 against Girard since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Anderson County Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Girard Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Anderson County came up short against Burlington and fell 59-52.

Meanwhile, Girard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and Galena didn't end well, with Girard falling 59-45. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 76th).

Anderson County's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4. As for Girard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-2.
