Softball Recap: Taft Greyhounds vs. West Oso Bears
If Taft was feeling good fresh off their 20-10 takedown of George West on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds came up short against the West Oso Bears on Tuesday, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 back in March.
Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for West Oso, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-2-1 record this season.
Taft will be playing at home against Odem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Greyhounds are facing the Owls at the right time seeing as the Owls are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for West Oso, they will head out to take on George West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
