Recap: Wyatt Chaparrals vs. Grapevine Mustangs
After flying high against the Polytechnic Parrots last Friday, The Wyatt Chaparrals came back down to earth. Wyatt fell 20-7 to Grapevine on Friday. Wyatt has struggled against Grapevine recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Jorvorskie Lane jr. threw for 110 yards on seven of 13 attempts. Jailon Stokes was his top target, rushing for 14 yards. On the ground, Damario Goss rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown.
Wyatt's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Grapevine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wyatt will challenge Trimble Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trimble Tech is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Grapevine, they will head out on the road to face off against Arlington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arlington Heights will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
