Football Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Gibson Southern Titans

Princeton is 0-10 against Gibson Southern since November of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will head out to take on the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Princeton has given up an average of 34.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Princeton is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Southridge on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Tigers had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Raiders. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-7.

Meanwhile, Gibson Southern had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 42-19 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-7.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Gibson Southern, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Princeton was taken down by Gibson Southern 62-7 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
