Spring Mills and Hedgesville squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Spring Mills had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Eagles. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Spring Mills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 27-29, 25-17, 25-16, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Gillian Sykes, who had 22 assists and seven digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last nine contests.
