Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hackett). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Acorn Tigers a 21-0 shutout on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Hackett's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Acorn, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coming up, Hackett will be taking part in a tournament against Muldrow at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Acorn, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westside at 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
