Lake Brantley waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Lyman Greyhounds. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered an 11-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Elijah Guzman tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cameron Penney was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Andrew Barr, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Lake Brantley pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lyman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Lake Brantley will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lyman, they will head out to challenge Winter Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Winter Park's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Lyman's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
