Baseball Game Preview: McBain Ramblers vs. Glen Lake Lakers

The McBain Ramblers will square off against the Glen Lake Lakers at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

McBain's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Benzie Central.

Suan Kim and Trenton Brunink made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Kim kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Brunink tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Kim scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Brunink scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eli Peterson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Glen Lake never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Rudyard last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-7 margin over the Bulldogs. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

McBain now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Glen Lake, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
