Moriarty won the last time they faced Aztec and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pintos walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pintos.

Moriarty had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-20, 27-25, 25-20.

Michaela Dunn paced Moriarty's offense, picking up 17 kills. Dunn got some help from Lily Shelby and her 13 assists. Shelby also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kristina Means, each putting up four.

Moriarty's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Aztec, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Moriarty and Aztec will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pintos will challenge rival Pojoaque Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Aztec is set to square off against their familiar foe Miyamura at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
