Baseball Recap: New Plymouth Comes Up Short

New Plymouth lost against Nampa Christian back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pilgrims fell 9-6 to the Trojans. The Pilgrims have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper Shaw was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Marcus Garcia, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

New Plymouth's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Nampa Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

New Plymouth will square off against Vision at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. New Plymouth is facing Vision at the right time seeing as Vision is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Nampa Christian, they will face off against Melba at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
