Recap: West Washington Senators vs. Trinity Lutheran Cougars
The West Washington Senators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-46 to Trinity Lutheran. West Washington was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trinity Lutheran apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Trinity Lutheran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hudson Lang led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Levi Pottschmidt was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
West Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Trinity Lutheran, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Washington will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Perry Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Trinity Lutheran, they will head out on the road to face off against Clarksville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
