Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pulaski Takes a Loss

Mt. Pulaski was the 2-1 winner over LeRoy when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Hilltoppers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Saturday.

Olivia Smith paced Mt. Pulaski's offense, picking up 14 kills. Smith got some help from Alyson Murphy and her 25 assists. Murphy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Mt. Pulaski's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for LeRoy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 23-7 record this season.

Mt. Pulaski has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Illini Central on the 21st. As for LeRoy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Deer Creek-Mackinaw on the 21st.
