Softball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern managed to slip by Delphi Community the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Comets lost 10-3 to the Oracles on Wednesday. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emillia Andrews, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Andrews has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Lauren Hendricks also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Eastern now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Delphi Community, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Eastern wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-3 win against Wabash on the 25th. As for Delphi Community, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 loss against Seeger on the 25th.
