Sturgeon Bay's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Sevastopol Pioneers by the margin of a single free throw, 61-60. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-52 back in December of 2024.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-12. As for Sevastopol, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Sturgeon Bay will face off against Kewaunee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kewaunee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Sturgeon Bay likes a good challenge. As for Sevastopol, they have already played their next match, a 73-44 loss against Algoma on the 11th.
