Basketball Recap: J.F. Webb Piles Up the Points Against Durham School of the Arts

J.F. Webb's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 78-38 victory over the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 576th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Daniel Wright was his usual excellent self, going 5-for-11 to rack up 15 points along with 14 assists and ten boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Joshua Barnette was another key player, going 11-for-17 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: J.F. Webb was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

J.F. Webb's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Durham School of the Arts, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.

As for Durham School of the Arts, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carrboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carrboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.1 points per game this season.
