Baseball Recap: Fyffe's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Fyffe fell victim to Ider and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Ider Hornets. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Fyffe's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Ider, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Fyffe will face off against Sylvania at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fyffe is facing Sylvania at the right time seeing as Sylvania is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Ider has already played their next contest (against Columbia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
