Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Valley Comes Up Short

Shenandoah Valley lost a heartbreaker to Marian Catholic when they met back in May of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. The Blue Devils lost 12-3 to Marian Catholic. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Blue Devils, who until this matchup were averaging 3.8 runs allowed.

Shenandoah Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremy Thomas, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Brandon Boris also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The loss snapped Shenandoah Valley's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-5 record. As for Marian Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.
