Baseball Recap: Southwest SD Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Southwest SD's offense. They came up short against the Mar Vista Mariners on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mariners earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Southwest SD saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebestian Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Southwest SD and nudges their season record down to 13-12-1. As for Mar Vista, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Southwest SD is set to face off against their familiar foe Castle Park at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mar Vista will take on rival Chula Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
