The North Tahoe Lakers will square off against the Incline Highlanders at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Tahoe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
North Tahoe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: West Wendover, who was ranked 24th in their home state at the time (North Tahoe was ranked 23rd). North Tahoe came out on top against West Wendover by a score of 9-6 on Saturday.

Noah Glickman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Glickman wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Peter Rusek, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave Rusek a new career-high. Curtis Edmunds was another, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Incline won against Battle Mountain on Saturday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Incline beat Battle Mountain by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.
Like North Tahoe, Incline also got a great game from a two-way player: Zach Harrell. Throwing, Harrell pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Reeve Denton struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. That one earned run gave him a new career-low. At bat, Harrell scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Denton scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Tate Gitchell was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Bodel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
North Tahoe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. Incline's win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Incline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North Tahoe hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. It's a different story for Incline, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain North Tahoe's hitters?
North Tahoe took their victory against Incline in their previous matchup last Thursday by a conclusive 9-2. Does North Tahoe have another victory up their sleeve, or will Incline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
