Marshall County managed to slip by Caldwell County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Marshals came up short against the Tigers on Monday, falling 8-1. The Marshals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Marshall County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Caldwell County, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall County will venture away from home to square off against Ballard Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bombers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Marshals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Caldwell County, they will square off against Madisonville-North Hopkins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
