Basketball Recap: Stevenson Piles Up the Points Against Zion-Benton

Stevenson won the last time they faced Zion-Benton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Stevenson Patriots breezed by the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees to the tune of 70-11. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-5.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Stevenson, bringing their record for this year to 13-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Zion-Benton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Stevenson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-35 defeat against Lake Zurich on the 16th. As for Zion-Benton, they will venture away from home to take on Waukegan at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Waukegan will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Zion-Benton surely won't give up without a fight.
