            Volleyball Recap: Lamar Consolidated Mustangs vs. Randle Lions        
        
		
        
        
            
Lamar Consolidated entered their  match against Randle  on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mustangs came up short against  the Lions, falling  3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Mustangs have suffered  since November 8, 2024.
 While Lamar Consolidated was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Randle's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17,  25-20.
Lamar Consolidated's offense was headlined by  Payton Joyner and  Julieann Zepeda, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from  Alexa Perez and her nine assists.
Lamar Consolidated's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Randle,  the  win  got them back to even at 14-14.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lamar Consolidated will  take on  rival Victoria East  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Randle is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Fort Bend Kempner  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
