Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Vincennes Lincoln Alices

Princeton is 1-9 against Vincennes Lincoln since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m.

Princeton is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Saturday. They were beaten by North Harrison 60-33. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Claire Walden, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Vincennes Lincoln came tearing into two weeks ago's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Eels 49-10. The Alices have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 28 points or more this season.

Vincennes Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Princeton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Vincennes Lincoln when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Princeton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
