Volleyball Game Preview: Brookings Bobcats vs. Washington Warriors

Brookings hasn't had much luck against Washington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bobcats will venture away from home to square off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Brookings came up short against Jefferson on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Brookings was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Washington faced O'Gorman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Knights.

Washington took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-23.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Brookings, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.

Brookings might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Washington in their previous matchup back in October of 2024.
