Softball Recap: Riverside Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Riverside had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets on Sunday. That's two games straight that the Beavers have won by exactly two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Riverside and bumps their season record up to 27-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Mt. Vernon, with the defeat, they broke their 21-game winning streak and moved their record to 27-3.

As of now, neither Riverside nor the Yellowjackets have any future games scheduled.
