Volleyball Recap: Space Coast's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday + How To Watch

It was a good run, but Space Coast unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Astronaut War Eagles. The Vipers were not able to make up for their loss to the War Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Astronaut scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Space Coast still got an impressive performance from Haley Cowling, who had 24 digs and five assists. Cowling is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season.

Astronaut was led to victory by Jojo Demers and Siena Allotta. Demers had 13 digs and four aces, while Allotta had 19 digs and one assist. Those 19 digs gave Allotta a new career-high.

Space Coast now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Astronaut, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Space Coast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Windermere on the 11th. As for Astronaut, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against East River on the 12th.
