Soccer Recap: South Garner Starts Season with Victory on the Road

South Garner had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rocky Mount Gryphons a 9-0 shutout. Henry Melendez was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Looking ahead, South Garner will face off against Wake Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rocky Mount, they will be playing at home against Nash Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
