Soccer Game Preview: Hunt vs. Northern Nash

The Hunt Warriors will head out to square off against the Northern Nash Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hunt hadn't beaten Southern Nash on the road since September 25, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Warriors came out on top against the Firebirds by a score of 4-2. Considering Hunt's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Southern Nash with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mark Dixon (2), Santiago Herrera, and Will Doll.

Meanwhile, Northern Nash's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Southern Wayne, sneaking past 3-2.

Northern Nash used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Southern Wayne. NOAH BLANTON played for 80 minutes having averaged 52 this season and CALEB WALSTON got 80 vs. an average of 53.8. BLANTON made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Hunt's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5-1. As for Northern Nash, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-1.
